Situated inside the luxurious Waldorf Astoria, Galvin Brasserie was packed on the day of the visit with over 60 diners. Sunday Roast seems to big a big deal attracting many local families.
On the day of the visit we supplemented the experience with a pressed terrine and Hand rolled pappardelle, ragout of Highland hare & aged pecorino for starters. For mains we had of course the Sunday Roast and Lamb pastilla, couscous, harissa & confit lemon. Although all of them were well prepared, the Sunday Roast with trimmings (including of course the Yorkshire pudding) was the star. Desserts included the Vanilla mousse, chocolate sauce & hazelnut praline and the chocolate tart.
The wine list (similarly to many other local establishments) was limited to some not so fancy Spanish, Portuguese, Chilean etc. choices.
Professional and polite waiters added to this experience...
