Imagine this. You are having lunch at a casual restaurant and you ask for a coke but you are being told you that they do not have soft drinks! Or asking for coffee with milk and being told that there isn’t any? This is how things work at Le Baratin. Let’s take things from the beginning.
The little neighborhood restaurant Le Baratin attracts locals, not tourists (always a good thing). Now, if you are tourist and you happen to be there, you have to suck in all your complaints, because this place was not meant for you. The restaurant appeals to quite an interesting crowd; from retired people to young intellectuals and artists, but most of them French.
The ambience at Le Baratin is very trendy, a big oil painting, black boards, rustic wood, bookshelves and books.
The menu was presented to guests on a huge black board, which the young waiter had to carry around the room...
