There are a few crucial points that you need to consider if you are visiting Cal Pep.
First, you have to go at opening times if you are a party of two and you plan to sit at the bar. The reason is that the bar is very popular and if you go let's say at 8, instead of 7.30 which is the opening time, you will stand long enough to regret it! If you are in a bigger group, you have the option of making a reservation at the sitting area.
There is a parking garage near by if you are using the GPS but make sure you ask a local for some assistance on the location of Placa de les Olles, 8.
Once inside and sat, do take recommendations from Marco (the guy in charge of the bar). On the day of the visit to Cal Pep we followed his lead and we had a few remarkable dishes, beef steak, sea bass, tuna tartar and monk fish. Everything was fresh and properly prepared.
We did go overboard with the order and ended up paying €60 each...
