Picture this. You are in the Italian Coast, next to the famous Portofino, in a sea - mountain village with no parking spaces available in the hot months of August. Thousands of Italians, Americans etc are vacationing with tiny cars down there and you want to eat some fresh fish. Enter Camogli.
Don't you just love meeting people who are making a good honest effort to provide you the best they can? That is how Ristorante Mille e Una Notte works. The owner is also the cook and from what I noticed there were only a couple of people in the kitchen. His fish is amazingly fresh and he will advice you what to eat. If you don’t speak Italian he will bring a “translator”. Make sure you order fish dishes without many sauces. If he has a large fish for two, take it and ask to be baked in the oven, with potatoes and tomatoes...
