The multi award winning Ledbury enjoys its reputation mainly for two reasons. The food and its rock star chef and his team. The Australian Brett Graham, has a genuine and unpretending humor and warmth, which makes even an annoying guest with a big camera feel welcome! His talent is evident in his menu.
On the day of the visit we had the six course mean for 100 pounds which it included, foie niblings, and an array of mouthwatering dishes: Candy Beetroot, Baked in Clay, Caviar Salt, Smoked and Dried Eel, Warm Bantam’s Egg, Celeriac, Dried Ham, Arbois and Wiltshire Truffle, Cornish Turbot, Salsify, Oyster Cream and Brown Bread, Berkshire Muntjac, Quince, Red Leaves and Vegetables, Brown Sugar Tart, Stem Ginger Ice Cream. All of them were excellent and interesting combinations.
With the exception of an unsmiling waitress, all the staff were courteous and highly professional.
