Situated a bit off the city center, the Michelin star establishment [Aend], is about modern age fine dining.
On the night of the visit, a Monday night February 23, we had 2 options for the degustation. The long [€215] and the short [€185]. We opted for the short version for the obvious reason. Vienna is one of the most expensive cities in the world and its fine dining is not an exception. The menu did also include exceptional ingrediients such as langoustines and caviar, while it also involved techniques that are both time consuming and costly. So, was the pricing justified? Yes, but for this city.
The simple ingredients yet complex flavours were balancing off nicely in this fine dining experience of the new era. Among the highlights, the turbot & beef, the skate & oyster and the quail.
Service though young, was very attentive and professional.
The place had character, combining both old and new décor disciplines...
