Located in the Vienna city center, Specht is a contemporary, yet casual eatery, that serves quality dishes at great prices.
On the day of the visit, Tuesday, February 23, dinner service, this Bib Gourmand restaurant seemed half packed.
From the menu, we tried the blood sausage, the escargots and the shrimps, which were all delicious and properly prepared. For mains, we had the lamb, the beef rolls, and a stuffed truffle potato, unlike any potato we ever tried. This one seemed it was made into mash and then rolled out to be stuffed with a truffle mix! It was the highlight of the dinner (and not so much the beef).
Service was very friendly and efficient.
Averall, it was a good dining experience, very high value for money for Vienna standards.
