Encompassing all there is to know about the culinary scene in England right now, Lyle's is the quintessential British eatery.
This modern establishment is located in the Shoreditch area. Its ambience was young, casual and fresh, with good positive vibes coming out of the kitchen!
On the day of the visit, we enjoyed a simple, hearty, fun and delicious lunch, which we are still raving about! Pigs head, Smoked eel and Frisket, all perfectly prepared. Even though these are not considered prime cuts, the techniques applied when cooking them were superb!
Through the open kitchen, we watched the talented young chef James Lowe, calmly coordinate a smooth yet busy, Friday lunch service. He is definitely one to watch!
Would love to return to Lyle's and taste more from this exceptional young team.
