Mistral is located (and has been located since our last visit 20 years ago!) inside the breathtaking Villa Serbelloni. The only difference is that it now holds a Michelin star. This is one of those rare cases that the setting and the service surpasses everything else, including the food.
White jacket Italian service is a thing of beauty to watch while flambéing your blue lobster at the table. And yes they still do the Crepe Suzette like back in the day.
That said, this is an extraordinary experience not accompanied by extraordinary food. Need to say what else is extraordinary? Pricing. Again you are not paying for the pasta or the risotto but for the whole thing.
To sum, the food is not Michelin star level but the experience is.
Dressing is elegant, meaning men need to wear a jacket or they will be provided with one.
