Located inside the historic center of Sirmione on the lake Garda, La Rucola 2.0 is inaccessible by car. Driving and parking during weekends is quite challenging due to the popularity of the village.
On the day of the visit, a Saturday lunch service in September 24, it took us more than one hour to arrive for the last 5km. As a result, we arrived at 1.30 and we were told that ordering the degustation was not an option, as it required 3 hours to complete. Since we arrived within still business hours that did not seem quite right. We ended up ordering the 3 course plus dessert and bread for €110 which was a reasonable price for the content of the menu.
Specifically, we had a shrimp toast, fried cod and lobster. The food was adventurous and interesting, properly prepared for a Michelin starred restaurant.
