As the name suggests, Fontaine de Vaucluse is famous for its spring as it ranks number one in France and number five in the world. There is water that you can see, such as the river and springs, and water you cannot see, which is the underground network of waters.
Distinguished by its light green hues, the area water which is 300 meter deep, is the main attraction for tourists who even take canoeing in this river.
There are also water mills, sea caves / grotes, as well as a paper mill (the city used to make paper in the 17th century) that you can visit.
Fontaine de Vaucluse also has a few arts and crafts shops, including glass, pottery and wood shops, a crystal and a geological museum.
It is also a spot for hikers, with three Grand Randonnee trails.
You can also bike your way around this town as there are bike rentals available, after you park your car somewhere (you have to pay for parking).
