Ermitage des Ravet restaurant is a family business, where father, son and daughter work in the kitchen, and wife and other daughter in the dining area.
The food on the day of the visit was high quality, as expected from this expensive, traditional Swiss establishment, counting 28 years of operation. No molecular and no modern staff here. However, as with a handful of other traditional restaurants, it remains a favorite among locals and tourists.
It is really expensive, but the abundance of the finest quality, excellently prepared food, eases the pain of paying €250+ p.p. The only issue with the food on the day of the visit was the extra order of Wague beef which did not look like or tasted like the familiar Wague beef with its marbled fatty texture.
Service was relying on a young waiter speaking only French and one of the owner's daughters...
