Situated in the serene French countryside, Trois Gros is a very successful 3 Michelin star establishment. Its premises are very impressive, classic on the outside, modern decor inside and the ambience, simply beautiful.
On the day of our lunch visit, the cheapest menu was priced €225 without Langoustines and more with them, which we thought was very expensive for what we were served. There was no alternative, even considering it was lunch.
The dish that stood out in terms of taste was the light custard with caviar, which included an egg and mushrooms, and presentation wise, the “egg”.
Attention to detail, 3-star detail that is, was not evident in some dishes as you can see in the photographs.
Though service was professional, yet it could have been more polished for this level.
