During the Summer, Hytra enjoys a highly privileged location on the rooftop of the Onasis Cultural Center. There is a side view of Parthenon and in good weather it is the perfect spot for dinner under the (Michelin) stars.
On the day of the visit, we had the long menu for the modest price tag of €65. It included 14 small dishes, almost all of them vegetarian and one pork dish for main before the dessert sequence. Modern cooking techniques such as foams, powders, and "caviars" were apparently used and the materials were fresh and properly prepared.
Minor adjustments for meat loving guests could be made to balance the menu, while the excessive use of green leafs in the dishes could be moderated. Of course there was the option of the a la carte menu which we could have chosen had we realized how green the degustation menu was.
In general it was a high quality, high value for money dinner worth a visit...
