Goldsborough Hall benefits from a magnificent location within a 400 year old manor - house. The Hall is beautifully decorated with antique furniture and paintings and has a very aristocratic ambience.
On the day of the visit, August 22, we had the degustation menu for £79. Though very well priced and portioned, the menu seemed in need of restructuring so that flavours would be more clearly defined and all those home grown ingredients would shine through. Some combinations were a bit confusing and some ingredients were too heavy for a refined experience suitable to the restaurant's premises.
Service was average, as they forgot the drink we ordered.
