Rijks or the Museum Michelin restaurant is located within walking distance of the major museums in Amsterdam.
On the day of the visit we had the a la carte menu and paid €150 for 6 small dishes. We had a tiny seabass tartar dish, scallops with white asparagus, a delicious sweetbread dish, turbot and cabbage. All at degustation portions. Even the €40 fish of the day was quite small for a main.
Despite the small portions, food was properly prepared, without any surprises. The ambiance was posh and upbeat with all the smart decor in place.
Service was a bit slow on a fully packed Sunday lunch.
On a side note, if you are planning a Museum day, book the museum ticket online, a few days in advance.
