A visit to restaurant Alkimia was long overdue, as it was next in line of shiny starred restaurants. We did not have any expectations going in but it turned out to have some pretty sensational fish dishes.
The restaurant premises were simple and casual. The room was very loud and crowded at the day of visit. Our table was next to the kitchen and that door opened maybe 2,000 times during the three hours that we were there.
Despite all that, Alkimia served some pretty awesome fish dishes. An adventurous sequence of dish after dish had our taste buds spinning from pleasure and screaming for more. It was extraordinarily fragile, complex yet simple and beautifully presented, with the help of molecular science of course.
Such a great menu! They even allowed us to make modifications on their set menu and remove the peas and beans from the set menu Alkimia, swamping them with pork and prawn from the second set menu...
