Tacked in a narrow street in the heart of Kakopetria, Tzellari Argentina blends beautifully with the traditional architectural fabric of the village. A converted village house, the restaurant is small and cozy especially in the winter days.
Though the menu at Tziellari Argentina includes traditional Cyprus meze, I think that trying the Argentinean options is much wiser. Lunch begun with a well prepared salad, showing the chef’s good intentions. The salad was followed by Argentinean sausage, which was a great choice full of Spanish spices and flavor. And for some reason it appeared really fresh, like it was prepared next door. Next starter, Empanadas, which is fried Argentinean beef pies (in other words “pourekki”), were also tasty and appetizing...
