Marmitta, which means large pot, is a casual little eatery in Nicosia which is open for lunch on weekdays and dinner on Friday and Saturday (check for updates).
Owned by a young couple, one of them being the chef, Marmitta rocks the usual grill items, salads, sandwiches and burgers as well as a couple of homemade cooked items. On the day of the visit, they had kolokasi (taro root) with pork and stuffed chicken with feta and tomato. Both dishes were cooked perfectly. And the melitzanosalata (eggplant dip) with walnuts and honey was awesome!
Marmitta desserts appeared homemade, including a light cheesecake and galaktoboureko. Pricing was reasonable and service was friendly.
